Progress Report, in which I am Satanized (for your protection)

With the rewrite of From Earth I Have Arisen complete, I spent most of last week prepping for Osfest, which proved to be a grand time.  Had some good panels, including a lively discussion of Hollywood’s endless love affair with remakes, for which I might have contributed an original thought or two.  I also enjoyed the panel on killing your characters, which included some great insights and anecdotes from guest of honor David Weber.

As has become something of a tradition, I once again played RoomCon.  And in another tradition, Travis Heermann once again transformed me.  This year, I became Satan:

Note the hair.

My reading on Sunday seemed to go pretty well, too.  I read "Odd Jobs" and got laughs in most of the right places.  As it happens, I still need to do another (minor) revision of this story, but the version I read is pretty close to the finished product.

And speaking of "Odd Jobs," that just happens to be my project for this week.

And then . . . and then . . . then I might finally get to . . . dare I say it?  Dare I even think it?

Yes, I dare:  Work on the next novel.

I know.  Gives me chills, too.

No updates for Write Club.

And I’m out.
