OSFest 6!

It’s almost time for the next stop on the 2013 Rotundo World Tour:  OSFest, the Omaha Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival, July 26-28.  Obviously, it’s my hometown con, so I’m jazzed.

For them as are interested, here is my schedule:

Friday, July 26

6:00 pm–Fannish Match Game (Omaha F)

Saturday, July 27

10:30 am–Black Hair & Hungry Ghosts:  Asian Horror (Omaha B)

What is it that makes horror cinema from Asia so different? What is its appeal? Is it a fad, or is it here to stay?

12:00 pm–How to Construct Scenes (Colorado D)

A panel for writers on how to construct scenes for greatest dramatic impact. How to keep readers turning pages and biting their nails.

3:00 pm–Trial of JJ Abrams (Omaha F)

Has JJ Abrams ruined the Star Trek series or breathed new life into it? (Oooh . . . this will be fun.)

Sunday, July 28

10:30 am–Author Reading (Omaha E)

Not sure what I’ll be reading yet.  Guess I’d better decide.

Dates and times are subject to change, natch.

Look for me at the parties, too, especially RoomCon, where I’ll be playing a bit of guitar and helping my buddy Travis Heermann launch his new book, Sword of the Ronin.

Stop by and say howdy.
